Essential Connections
Women wear many "hats" today. They serve as friend, wife, mother, daughter, teacher, professional, etc. Because of this, a primary goal of the women's ministry of Calvary Baptist Church is to help women grow in their relationship with God and equip them to serve others. We strive to prepare them for these "hats" through Bible Study, worship and special events. Yet, it is the connection women have to each other that provides the necessary encouragement and support needed through every phase of life.
It is out of this need for encouragement and connection with other women that Essential Connection Groups have been created.
We offer 2 options:
1. ESSENTIAL CONNECTION (Focus Group)
Groups that want to grow in a certain area such as: discipleship, marriage, raising children, etc. The Mentors will be able to share life lessons and choose a resource or book that they are able to study, discuss and share together.
2. ESSENTIAL CONNECTION (Girlfriends Wanting to Grow)
These are groups that meet once or twice a month for fellowship and to "process" life together. We believe this will meet the needs of busy women who are already in Bible Study, and need the fellowship, but cannot fit one more study into their schedule. The leaders of these groups will plan a guided discussion each time using a toss-out question. They can design the meetings to meet the needs of the women in the group. Some meet at restaurants for coffee, in homes, and some go do something together as an activity. In this atmosphere, we believe that women can encourage each other, share how God has helped them in their life experiences.
